We’re excited to introduce our new course, "Open mSupply: Introduction to Medical Supply Chain"! This module provides a strong foundation in healthcare supply chains, helping participants understand how medicines and medical supplies are managed to ensure availability and efficiency.


What you will learn:

✅ Understand the importance of medical supply in healthcare.
✅ Define the healthcare supply chain and its key components.
✅ Recognize the role of supply chains in improving patient outcomes.
✅ Identify common challenges in supply chain management and their solutions.
✅ Learn key concepts such as inventory management, stock rotation, and supply chain metrics.
✅ Understand the importance of Last-Mile Delivery in healthcare logistics.
✅ Explore the role of real-time data in decision-making.
✅ Discover how digital tools like Open mSupply support supply chain operations.


Who should take this course?

This module is designed for:
🔹 New users of Open mSupply with little or no prior knowledge of supply chains.
🔹 Warehouse and dispensary staff transitioning to digital systems.
🔹 Healthcare workers, program managers, and supervisors involved in supply chain decision-making.


Course Details

⏳ Duration: 6 hours (including 1 hour Final Assessment).
🎯 Completion Requirements: Pass the required activities and final assessment with at least 80% and complete the course evaluation to earn your certificate.


How to access the course

  1. Open the Introduction to Supply Chain course.
  2. To view the course material, select "Enter".
  3. Complete the module at your own pace.
  4. Return to the mSupply Learning Platform to complete the Course Activities,  Final Assessment and Course Evaluation to earn your certificate.
